PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Senger Line (ranked 729 p4p, 2334 weight class) and Judah Christ (ranked 110 p4p, 304 weight class). Line's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, For Heavy Metal we will die!. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Line doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Line shoots in for a double leg but Christ sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Christ blocks a jab.
Christ steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
A jab lands there for Line.
Christ stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Christ wants it to stay on the feet.
Christ thuds his shin into the meat of Line's side.
Line has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Heavy Metal in the buildup to the fight.

Christ closes the distance and pushes Line back into the cage.

Christ escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Line working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Christ doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Christ manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round but I would say that Senger Line will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A punch lands to the side of Line 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Line shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Christ's guard.

Line has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Christ is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Line.

That was a close second round but I would say that Senger Line will probably get the nod.
That's time! Line's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Christ on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Line throws a body punch but Christ moves out of range.

Christ lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Line throws a shot from downtown. Christ moves away and avoids it.
Christ doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Line throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Line chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Christ can pounce on him.

Christ drives through and clinches with Line against the cage.

Line is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Christ is aware though and is defending well.

Christ slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Line is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Line throws an elbow that misses. Christ uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Line's guard. Nice move by Christ!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Senger Line.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Line, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
