Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Smithers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Poe Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smithers kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Metallica - No Leaf Clover. Jim Smithers has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smithers slips a straight right by Edgar.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smithers connects with a nice short shot to Edgar's temple.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smithers decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
