Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Soszynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Soszynski's choice of entrance music: Hulkamania. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones is looking to clinch.
Jones could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Soszynski misses with a two punch combination.

Jones clinches.
Soszynski is trying to break free.
Jones landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Soszynski wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Soszynski tries to circle away but Jones has him pinned against the cage.
Jones has Soszynski pressed against the cage, preventing Soszynski from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Soszynski is trying to keep an underhook but Jones manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jones stops Soszynski from getting back to his feet.
Soszynski tries to kick Jones off in order to stand up. Jones Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Jones sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Soszynski is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Soszynski stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Soszynski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Soszynski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Soszynski misses with a wild body shot.
Soszynski drops Jones with a nice combination! Soszynski dives into Jones's guard, looking to finish!

Jones is rocked!

It looks like Joey Jones has been cut.

Jones is working an open guard so Soszynski takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Soszynski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Soszynski throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Soszynski fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Soszynski misses with a straight right.
Jones seems to have got his legs back now.

and Soszynski counters with a big right hand! Oh Jones is in trouble here! Soszynski follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
