The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hedegaard gets caught flat footed, as Kurtev shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Our spies down at at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter inform us that Hedegaard has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Kurtev trying to control the position from guard on top but Hedegaard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kurtev scoring with punches to the head and body.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kurtev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kurtev working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hedegaard's head.

Hedegaard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kurtev is aware though and is defending well.
Hedegaard is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hedegaard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kurtev cracks Hedegaard with a solid left hand.
Kurtev is in close to Hedegaard's body, working some short punches and elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hedegaard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kurtev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kurtev might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kurtev content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Kurtev has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hedegaard to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kurtev is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hedegaard pulls down on the head and he's put Kurtev to sleep! This one is all over!
