Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Keiji Hashimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim McIlrath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hashimoto might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Chopin's Funeral March in B flat minor. Keiji Hashimoto has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tim McIlrath!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hashimoto lands a with a good body shot.
Hashimoto closes the distance and clinches up with McIlrath, looking for a takedown. Hashimoto pushes McIlrath against the cage but McIlrath circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McIlrath throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hashimoto looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

McIlrath cracks Hashimoto with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

McIlrath throws a nice looking combination but Hashimoto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McIlrath scores with a jab. Hashimoto acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hashimoto, as that shot connected.
Hashimoto shoots in for a takedown but McIlrath shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

McIlrath tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Hashimoto easily slips into full mount!
Hashimoto wants to control the pace but McIlrath is squirming around nicely.

Hashimoto swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and McIlrath is now in Hashimoto's guard. A big mistake from Hashimoto there, giving up the dominant position!

Hashimoto is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! McIlrath has his hands clasped together but Hashimoto extends an breaks McIlrath's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Hashimoto.
