Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arvo Virtanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Twea King!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Virtanen sprawls well initially but King persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Virtanen is looking to improve his position.
Virtanen trying to hold on to King's head to control him but King postures up.
King looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Virtanen strikes from the bottom but King passes into mount!
Virtanen is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.

King controlling the position easily from mount.

King is working for a guillotine from mount but Virtanen frees his head quite easily.
King takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

King content just to control the position here.
King wants to take his opponent's back but Virtanen doesn't allow it.
Virtanen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

King tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Virtanen has given up his back. Will we see King going for some submissions?

King is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Virtanen knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Virtanen for a finish.

Virtanen tries to escape but King has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Virtanen trying to control the position but King manages to sink in the hooks.
King controlling the position well here. Virtanen rolled but King kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
It looks like King might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

King shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Virtanen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Virtanen gets back to half guard.

King seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Virtanen is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Twea King!
