Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Lujan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jaja hugo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lujan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Jimmy Lujan has been cut.
hugo tries to clinch but Lujan is having none of it.
hugo misses with the combination.
Lujan takes one to the chin there.
hugo catches Lujan with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Lujan shoots for a double leg takedown but hugo sprawls well. He's pushed Lujan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
hugo misses with a double jab.
Lujan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
hugo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Lujan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
hugo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lujan keeps control of the position for the meantime.

hugo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lujan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. hugo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lujan's back instead.
hugo tries to keep control of the position but Lujan is staying busy.
Lujan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lujan tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Lujan is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. hugo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
hugo tries to lock up and control but Lujan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Lujan has control of hugo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and hugo regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lujan breaks from hugo's wrist control and lands an elbow.

hugo is bucking up trying to escape but Lujan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Lujan breaks from hugo's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Lujan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. hugo looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lujan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The referee warns hugo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
