Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greighnd Em (ranked 4402 p4p, 5120 weight class) and Yuri Nurmagochev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuri Nurmagochev is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yuri Nurmagochev!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Em clinches up with Nurmagochev and pushes him back against the cage.
Em's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Em will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nurmagochev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Em on his heels. He'll look to pass Em's guard now, I'm sure.
Em is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nurmagochev drops back looking for a leg! Em is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Em manages to kick Nurmagochev off! Nurmagochev jumps back into Em's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nurmagochev postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Em has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Nurmagochev is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Em.
Em is trying to control Nurmagochev's posture but Nurmagochev avoids it.

Nurmagochev throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Nurmagochev gets to mount! Em was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Em is looking to improve his position but Nurmagochev isn't that keen on the idea.
Em on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Em tries to get out of the position.
The referee warns Em that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Em tries to hold on but Nurmagochev postures up.

Em is trying to stand.
Em tries to reverse the position but Nurmagochev maintains control.
Nurmagochev cracks Em with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Em is looking to get to half guard.
Nurmagochev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Em is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Nurmagochev is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Em can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Em can't escape the position.
Em is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Em wants to hold on but Nurmagochev pushes him away.

Em is desperately trying to improve his position but Nurmagochev has a good base and remains in mount.
Em is trying to stand up.
Em tries to lock up and control but Nurmagochev gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nurmagochev looking to finish Em with some ground and pound. This is bad for Em!

Em tries to hold on but Nurmagochev postures up.
Em is trying to escape the mount.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Em closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Nurmagochev goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Em scores with an uppercut up the middle.
It looks like Yuri Nurmagochev has been cut.
Nurmagochev has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Em manages to break the clinch.
A clash of legs there as Em blocks the low kick.
A little feinted left hand from Em on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Nurmagochev shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Em takes the fight into the clinch.
Em pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Em misses with a series of wild punches.

Em gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Nurmagochev. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Em lands a shot to the body.
Nurmagochev is breathing heavily.

Nurmagochev fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Em throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Nurmagochevs head.
Em lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Em scores with a nice hook to the head.
Nurmagochev is rocked!
Em breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nurmagochev is still on wobbly legs! Can Em finish him?
Nurmagochev switches off momentarily and Em cracks him with a monster right hand! Nurmagochev topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Em dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Em!
