The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Don walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ruthless's jab looks to have found its range, popping Don under the eye.
Don misses with a body punch
and Ruthless cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ruthless scores with a shot to the body.
Ruthless misses the shot to the body.
And Don tries to counter it with a takedown but Ruthless pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Don drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ruthless defends it well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Don tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ruthless was well out of range. Poor timing from Don.

Ruthless's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Don connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ruthless scrambles back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Don wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ruthless, who protects the arm well.
Ruthless is looking to regain half guard here but Don keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ruthless ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Don moves away.
Don with the counter takedown but Ruthless avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Ruthless throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ruthless dips to his left and cracks Don with an uppercut!
Ruthless lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Ruthless swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Ruthless sends Don crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ruthless is motioning to the referee to let Don up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Don is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Don shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Don is still on wobbly legs! Can Ruthless finish him?

Ruthless looks to land a combination but Don avoids it well.
Don seems to have recovered his senses.
Ruthless cracks Don with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Don tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Ruthless pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Don is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
