Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ike Villanova!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rodney Wolford!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolford shoots in looking for a takedown but Villanova manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wolford's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wolford lands a right hook to the body.
Wolford comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Villanova steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wolford.
An attempted straight right counter from Villanova misses the target.
Rodney Wolford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wolford throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Villanova avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wolford gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Villanova has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Wolford tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Villanova's elbow.

Villanova is looking to break free of the clinch but Wolford has double underhooks.

Wolford has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Villanova is trying to keep an underhook but Wolford manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Wolford is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Villanova is just riding it out for now. Wolford eventually gives up the hold.
Wolford perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wolford scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Villanova to see if he's OK.
Oh Villanova is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Wolford cracks Villanova with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Wolford immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Villanova is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Wolford!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rodney Wolford!
In his post fight interview, Rodney Wolford started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
