The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Machado.
Perry misses with a looping left.
Perry tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Perry scores with a sloppy right hand. Machado should have avoided that one.
Perry looks to land a body kick but Machado moved away.
Tyler Perry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perry scores with a leg kick.
Machado takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Nice sprawl there from Perry as Machado shoots in.
Machado swats away the attempt to clinch by Perry.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Machado shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Perry but Perry pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodrigo Machado. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Perry throws a body kick that misses.
Perry is looking to clinch but Machado is avoiding it.

Machado fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Perry, pushing him back against the cage.

Machado decides to pull guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Perry feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Machado's calf.
Perry scores with a spinning back kick!
Machado is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Perry lands a head kick that stumbles Machado and the fighters go to the mat.

Machado is rocked!
Perry stands up over Machado, holding on to his feet. Perry throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Machado is out cold! Perry lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
