Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abdo Farah (ranked 193 p4p, 854 weight class) and Brock Dredd (ranked 27 p4p, 123 weight class). Dredd has chosen Wake up the Town as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dredd scores with a nice head shot.

It looks like Abdo Farah has been cut.
We've been told by Farah's head coaches at King's Cross MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Dredd steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Farah.
Farah throws a head kick that misses
and Dredd counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Farah with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Farah misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Dredd counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Farah throws the left hand but Dredd avoids the punch easily.

Abdo Farah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dredd misses with an uppercut.
A little feinted left hand from Farah on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Farah fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dredd has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Farah tries to clinch but Dredd moves away
and Dredd counters with a good low kick that Farah was not able to check.

Farah misses the shot to the body.
Dredd lands a nice hook to Farah's body. Farah takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Farah uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Dredd lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Farah throws a body punch but Dredd moves out of range.
The crowd cheers as Dredd lands an impressive looking overhand right. Farah doesn't seem phased though.

Farah throws a sloppy body shot

Abdo Farah's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Dredd flicks out a counter leg kick but Farah steps away.

Farah tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dredd manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Farah is looking to wear down Dredd with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Dredd turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

and Dredd counters with a body kick that stops Farah in his tracks momentarily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Farah was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Farah throws a solid leg kick but Dredd takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Farah.

Farah jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dredd only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Farah ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dredd moves away.

and Dredd counters with a nice uppercut.
Dredd lands with a hook. Farah tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Jeez, Abdo Farah's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dredd moves out of range of the body kick from Farah.
Dredd swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Brock Dredd seems to be getting the better of the standup.
