The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longwe fails with an attempt to clinch.

Longwe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Supernussenbam sprawls well initially but Longwe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Supernussenbam pushes Longwe off looking to stand but Longwe dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Supernussenbam has hold of Longwe's hands but Longwe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Supernussenbam tries to kick Longwe off but Longwe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Longwe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Longwe is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Supernussenbam is surviving well by controlling Longwe's body position as best he can.
Longwe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Longwe lands a heavy elbow.

Longwe gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

and Longwe counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Longwe is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Longwe with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Longwe's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Supernussenbam shoots in for a takedown but Longwe shows good takedown defense.

Longwe pivots and extends the arm, Supernussenbam falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Longwe! Well done that man!
