PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Slinger (ranked 2780 p4p, 2999 weight class) and Jackson Davis (ranked 159 p4p, 174 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Slinger might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hail Mary. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jackson Davis!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A slow jab from Davis misses its intended target.
Patrick Slinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slinger throws a wild body kick that Davis sees coming a mile off.
Davis checks a leg kick nicely.
Slinger looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It seemed like Davis was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Slinger tries a head kick but it misses.
A punch combination from Davis misses.
Slinger displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Davis throws out the jab.

Davis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Slinger napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Slinger is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Slinger slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Davis has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Slinger to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Davis is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Slinger pulls down on the head and he's put Davis to sleep! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Patrick Slinger thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
