The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Adams closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Jerry changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Adams fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Adams throws a combination that misses

and Jerry counters with a takedown into side control.
Jerry is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Adams's shoulder. That is not cool.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adams tries to improve position but can't.
Jerry taking a breather here.

Adams tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jerry wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Adams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Adams tries to get out of the position.
Adams is letting Jerry control him for a moment.
Jerry trying to control the position but Adams is working away.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jerry throws a head kick but Adams moves out of range.
Jerry with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Adams to score with a decent uppercut.
A punch lands to the side of Jerry 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Jerry has his takedown stuffed

and Adams counters by moving into the clinch.
Adams throws a head punch that misses.
Adams lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jerry backwards.
Adams lands a shot to the body.
Jerry looks winded!
Adams lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Adams lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jerry misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Adams is working Jerry over against the cage.
Adams digs a right hand underneath Jerry's ribcage. Jerry let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Adams lands a body shot.

Adams lands an uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Adams creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Adams lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jerry backwards.
Adams lands a hook that snaps the head of Jerry backwards.
Adams lands with a left to the head.
Adams throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
A nice left hand lands by Adams.

Adams drops Jerry onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Jerry is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Jerry is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Adams creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Jerry with a big uppercut! Jerry tries to clinch up but Adams pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Jerry to the mat! Jerry covers up and Adams unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
