And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 10 wins and 7 losses; Vasiliy Kulik!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Boesku shoots in and bounces Kulik off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Boesku might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boesku is really struggling to control Kulik but he's trying to hold on to the position.

We've been hearing good reports from Boesku's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kulik is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Boesku is looking to take a break and control but Kulik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Boesku swings around for an armbar but Kulik sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Boesku's guard.

Let's hope that Kulik has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Boesku is trying to control but can't.
Kulik trying to mount his opponent but Boesku defends it.

Kulik is stalling in the full guard.

Kulik wants to pass the guard but Boesku is keeping the position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Boesku holds on and takes a little breather.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kulik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boesku swivels though and keeps the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
As we have tied on points, we go to a tie breaker and Boesku gets a bonus point for attempting more subs.
Boesku takes the fight on points by 6 to 5.
Roman Boesku seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
