Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richie Alaska (ranked 2460 p4p, 2020 weight class) and Osiris Egyptian (ranked 316 p4p, 267 weight class). Alaska comes to the cage accompanied by A Long December - Counting Crows. Osiris Egyptian has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alaska takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Alaska defending well as Egyptian loads up on a big left hand.
Egyptian fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Egyptian lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Alaska throws a big shot that misses.
Egyptian swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Alaska is looking to counter punch.
Alaska walks into a straight right hand from Egyptian.
Egyptian fails to land with a series of punches.

Egyptian clobbers Alaska with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A nice side step and Egyptian releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Osiris Egyptian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alaska clinches up with Egyptian and pushes him back against the cage.
Egyptian pushes off an throws an elbow but Alaska leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Alaska tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Alaska has an active guard here but Egyptian has managed to pass into half guard.
Egyptian has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Trials Of Fortitude. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Alaska is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Egyptian's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Egyptian's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alaska has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Egyptian has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Alaska is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Egyptian has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Alaska is not going to allow Egyptian to sit and survive in this position.

Egyptian has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Alaska is proving hard to escape from.

Alaska working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Egyptian doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Alaska is tightening it up a little... Egyptian has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Egyptian reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Egyptian taps out! Nice BJJ there by Alaska!
