Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Caio Victor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Pavel Sekera!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Sekera. No joy for Victor on that attempt.
Sekera with the inside leg kick.
Sekera fails with a takedown attempt.
Victor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sekera manages to avoid it.
Sekera throws a predictable looking body shot
and Victor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sekera walks into a stiff left hand from Victor.
Sekera looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Victor connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Sekera is rocked!
Victor displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sekera.
Victor defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sekera.
Victor appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Caio Victor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pavel Sekera.
Victor shoots in looking for a takedown but Sekera manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Victor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sekera darts in looking for a takedown but Victor gets double underhooks and turns Sekera into the cage.
Victor throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Victor circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Sekera to the canvas! Sekera doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Victor keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Caio Victor!
