Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between BA Funky (ranked 3061 p4p, 25425 weight class) and Brayden Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Funky might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hadal Ahbek . Brayden Greene has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, BA Funky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brayden Greene!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Funky sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Funky feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Greene missing with a left hand there. Funky was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Funky attempts a counter takedown but Greene avoids it well and moves away.
Greene misses with a body shot.
Greene throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Funky counters with a single leg into guard. Greene didn't expect that.
Funky controls from within his opponent's guard.
Greene wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Funky sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Funky postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Greene should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Funky stands up over Greene, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Greene is looking to stand up but Funky isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Greene must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Funky looking to hit a scissor sweep but Greene is one step ahead there.

Greene connects with a good right hand that stumbles Funky. Funky circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Greene swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Funky counters with a shoot takedown. Greene fights it but they end up in guard.

Funky has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Greene tries to lock up and control but Funky gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The referee warns Greene that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Greene is bucking up trying to escape but Funky cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Funky pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Funky just misses with a elbow thrown towards Greene's brow.
Funky wants a takedown but no success here.
Greene is trying to break the clinch but Funky is controlling him.
Funky has Greene pressed against the cage, preventing Greene from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Greene's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Greene's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Funky works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Greene tries to circle away but Funky has him pinned against the cage.
Funky just leaning against Greene, taking a breather.
Funky throws a knee to the head but misses.
Greene wants to break the clinch but can't.
Greene wants to get back to striking at distance but Funky won't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Greene blocks an elbow strike from Funky.
Greene is trying to push Funky away but Funky has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Funky is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Greene can do to turn this around?
Funky is working for takedown but Greene is calmly controlling the position for now.
Funky looking to throw knees to the head but Greene is blocking nicely.
Greene is fighting off a takedown attempt but Funky is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Greene to the mat. Greene regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Funky is stalling in the full guard.
Greene is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
