The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

IronSide shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sabatory is trying to defend but IronSide finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if IronSide is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

IronSide takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

It looked like IronSide wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

IronSide has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sabatory regains guard immediately.
IronSide seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Sabatory throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! IronSide escapes and throws Sabatory's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Sabatory is fighting off a takedown attempt but IronSide is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sabatory to the mat. Sabatory regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
