Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trevor Gully!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gully misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Sligotheroux to counter with a crisp jab.
Gully takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Sligotheroux slaps away a takedown attempt from Gully, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sligotheroux cracks Gully with an open hand slap.
Gully takes a jab right on the kisser.
Gully fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sligotheroux avoids it really well and circles away.
Gully has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gerald Sligotheroux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trevor Gully.
Sligotheroux tests Gully's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gully shoots and misses
and Sligotheroux connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gully looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sligotheroux is fending him off so far but Gully persists. Nope, Sligotheroux circles away and we're back to standing.
An attempted straight right counter from Sligotheroux misses the target.
Gully gets a takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sligotheroux on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Sligotheroux is in trouble now - Gully has advanced to mount!
Gully fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Sligotheroux has given up his back.
Gully is not going to allow Sligotheroux to sit and survive in this position.
Gully is punishing Sligotheroux with strikes - can he finish him?!
Good control from Gully.
Gully has got one arm under Sligotheroux's chin. This could be trouble... Sligotheroux trying to control the other hand but Gully gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Sligotheroux has tapped out! The fight is over!

A relieved looking Trevor Gully thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
