Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Morty Horowitz (ranked 24572 p4p, 24325 weight class) and Uchima Gonshiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Uchima Gonshiro enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Morty Horowitz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Uchima Gonshiro!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horowitz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gonshiro napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Horowitz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gonshiro knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Horowitz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Horowitz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Gonshiro gets back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horowitz wants to control but Gonshiro is keeping him busy.

Gonshiro shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Horowitz sprawls well. Horowitz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gonshiro gets slowly back to his feet.

Gonshiro shoots for a double leg takedown but Horowitz sprawls well. He's pushed Gonshiro's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Gonshiro is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Horowitz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gonshiro is working away from the top position though.
Horowitz is defending against the submission attempts here by Gonshiro.

Horowitz is looking for a triangle but Gonshiro pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gonshiro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Horowitz is just riding it out for now. Gonshiro eventually gives up the hold.
Gonshiro is trying to control the action in half guard but Horowitz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Gonshiro is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Horowitz defends it well.
Horowitz has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Gonshiro is on him like a limpet, forcing Horowitz back against the cage.

Gonshiro is looking to break free of the clinch but Horowitz has double underhooks.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Gonshiro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Horowitz tries to avoid it but Gonshiro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Horowitz to the ground. Horowitz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Horowitz is stalling here. Gonshiro is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Horowitz seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gonshiro has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Horowitz misses with a double jab.
Gonshiro lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Gonshiro shoots in but no luck this time.
Morty Horowitz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uchima Gonshiro.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gonshiro.
Horowitz moves into the clinch.

Horowitz lands a hook to the side of the head.
Gonshiro managing to block the knees to the body from Horowitz.

Gonshiro tries to pull guard but Horowitz forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Horowitz has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gonshiro clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Horowitz is trying to stick to Gonshiro's back but Gonshiro is turning into Horowitz. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Horowitz's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gonshiro.
Gonshiro wants to control from the top but Horowitz keeps moving.
Horowitz throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gonshiro escapes and throws Horowitz's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Horowitz is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Gonshiro is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Horowitz has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Gonshiro has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Horowitz taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Gonshiro doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Uchima Gonshiro!
