Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oliver Watts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Du Klippt!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watts with a jab.
Klippt on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Klippt fails to land the takedown.
Klippt doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Watts counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Klippt tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Watts looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Oliver Watts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Watts lands with a right hand.
Klippt closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Klippt takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Watts connects with a body shot that sends Klippt's belly button to the back.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Watts.

Watts rushes Klippt and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Klippt goes for a takedown in the clinch but Watts prevents it.
Oliver Watts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Du Klippt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Klippt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Klippt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Klippt is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Klippt drops back looking for a leg! Watts is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Watts manages to kick Klippt off! Klippt jumps back into Watts's guard.
Klippt is fighting to break Watts's control of his arms but Watts is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Klippt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Watts knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Klippt on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Oliver Watts dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Good leg kick by Watts.
Watts with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Watts scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Klippt closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Klippt gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Watts lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Watts lands with a good body shot.
Watts scores with a punch to the head.
Watts tests Klippt's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Watts scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Watts ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Klippt fails with the takedown
and Watts counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Watts pushes Klippt up against the cage in a clinch.

Watts lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Klippt or not.
Watts lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Klippt has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Watts avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Klippt works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Klippt is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Klippt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Klippt is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Watts is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Watts has escaped and now he's on top!

Watts not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Watts avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Watts has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Klippt to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Watts is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Klippt pulls down on the head and he's put Watts to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Du Klippt!
