Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Fuisse (ranked 2893 p4p, 5056 weight class) and Hideo Tokoro (ranked 363 p4p, 543 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuisse ducks under a wild hook from Tokoro.
Fuisse looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fuisse looks for a takedown but Tokoro sprawls well.
Tokoro is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A slow jab from Tokoro misses its intended target.

Fuisse closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fuisse looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tokoro with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fuisse looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fuisse is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tokoro sees it coming and defends easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fuisse has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fuisse is looking for a kimura but Tokoro is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fuisse to get the leverage.
