Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Radu Dracul (ranked 9 p4p, 223 weight class) and Vernon Creed (ranked 3 p4p, 30 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Radu Dracul!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vernon Creed!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Creed fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Dracul shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Creed as he jumps to the side.

Dracul tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Creed defends well and Dracul ends up having to push Creed into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Creed has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Vernon Creed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Dracul counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dracul.
Creed has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Dracul has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Creed has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Dracul's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Dracul has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Creed clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I would just about give that final round to Vernon Creed.

In his post fight interview, Vernon Creed started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
