Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Oskar Friman (ranked 6429 p4p, 3270 weight class) and Test QQ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oskar Friman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Test QQ!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
QQ lands a head shot.

Friman drives through with a takedown into guard.
Our spies down at at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter inform us that QQ has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Friman is nestled in close to QQ, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Friman avoids the attempt from QQ to control.
QQ might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Friman haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Friman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Test QQ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Friman tries to sprawl but QQ drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Friman has QQ pulled in close to control his posture.

Friman continues to stall.
QQ wants to control from the top but Friman keeps moving.
Friman pulls QQ in close to his closed guard and prevents QQ from doing any damage or advancing position.

Friman wants to sweep here but QQ controlling him for the moment.
Friman is pulling down on QQ's head. It's preventing any offense from QQ, at least for the moment.
QQ must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Friman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Still in half guard, Friman seems content to control.
Friman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Friman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Friman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
QQ throws a combination. Friman tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
QQ stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
QQ misses with a wild combination.
Friman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

QQ closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - QQ lands in his opponent's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Friman is on top in guard.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Test QQ will probably get the nod - 10:9.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
QQ is trying to maintain the position but Friman is very close to passing his half guard.
QQ is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Friman is staying active.

Friman has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Friman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as QQ is looking to escape.

We've been hearing good reports from Friman's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
