Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Senior Lutia!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kevin Bettencourt!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bettencourt moves in looking to clinch but Lutia pushes him off.
Lutia throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bettencourt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Lutia scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Bettencourt tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Lutia easily slips into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lutia is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bettencourt is surviving well by controlling Lutia's body position as best he can.

Lutia moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bettencourt has worked his arm free - good work by Bettencourt!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Lutia is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bettencourt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Bettencourt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bettencourt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lutia doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lutia manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lutia seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bettencourt does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lutia tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lutia has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
