Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vandenhoff avoids a punch combination nicely.

Revell clinches up with Vandenhoff and pushes him back against the cage.

Revell is trying to trip Vandenhoff. He has hold of a leg but Vandenhoff is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Revell persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Revell sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Revell throws and elbow that misses. Vandenhoff uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Revell's guard. Nice move by Vandenhoff!

Revell looking for a guillotine here but Vandenhoff defends easily.
Vandenhoff trying to control but Revell is working from the bottom.

Revell scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vandenhoff working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Revell wants to sweep here but Vandenhoff controlling him for the moment.
Vandenhoff wants to control from the top but Revell keeps moving.

Revell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vandenhoff gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Revell should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Vandenhoff looks to clinch

and Revell counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Vandenhoff is trying to break the clinch but Revell has him pressed against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Vandenhoff trying to stall but Revell improves his position.
Revell has had enough of the clinch but Vandenhoff keeps him there for the moment.
Vandenhoff wants a takedown but no success here.
Vandenhoff has Revell pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Revell manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Vandenhoff pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Vandenhoff with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Revell closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vandenhoff to the mat! Vandenhoff manages to get full guard.
Revell controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Revell looks gassed!

Revell stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Revell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Vandenhoff bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Vandenhoff wants to pass the guard but Revell is keeping the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Vandenhoff's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Revell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vandenhoff trying to control the position from guard on top but Revell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Revell can't keep his opponent in guard - Vandenhoff advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vandenhoff is just content to waste time from the top position. Revell takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Revell keeping moving, preventing Vandenhoff from controlling successfully.
Vandenhoff is really struggling to control Revell but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Vandenhoff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Revell working a defensive guard here.
Vandenhoff wants to stand but Revell is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Revell feints and as Vandenhoff raises his hands in defense, Revell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

and Revell counters with a single leg into guard. Vandenhoff didn't expect that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vandenhoff wants to get back to his feet but Revell is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Revell is breathing heavily.
Revell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Vandenhoff is trying to control the position but Revell postures up.

Revell wants to pass the guard but Vandenhoff is keeping the position.
Vandenhoff is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Revell looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Vandenhoff wants to sweep but no luck.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A right-left combo lands from Vandenhoff.
Revell walks forward, straight into a front kick from Vandenhoff.
Vandenhoff throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Vandenhoff closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Vandenhoff throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Vandenhoff moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


Revell is rocked!
Vandenhoff connects with a stiff jab that staggers Revell - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Koenraad Vandenhoff!
