Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brock Dredd (ranked 1428 p4p, 1016 weight class) and Shichiroji San (ranked 197 p4p, 141 weight class). Dredd's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Wake up the Town. Brock Dredd has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dredd avoids the body shot from San.
Dredd wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Dredd has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Dredd takes the fight into the clinch.
San jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dredd walks away with a smile on his face. San gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
San throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Dredd counter with a right hand.

and Dredd counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that San has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

San wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
San steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Dredd. That one must have hurt.

Dredd sends San crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Dredd is motioning to the referee to let San up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Dredd lands an uppercut out of nowhere! San falls backwards - clearly groggy! Dredd dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

After winning the bout, Brock Dredd thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
