The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Einstein tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gully paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Gully shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Einstein is trying to defend but Gully finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Gully is pressing down on Einstein 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Einstein is holding on for now.
Gully could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gully wants to free his trapped foot but Einstein is holding on for dear life with his legs.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Einstein can do anything to dispel that myth.
Einstein tries to kick Gully off but Gully keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gully in particular looking to stall.
Einstein told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Gully is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
