The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Towns showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Schmidt.
Schmidt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Towns.

Schmidt closes the distance and pushes Towns back into the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Schmidt.
Towns wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Towns is trying to pull guard but Schmidt has him pressed against the cage.

Towns is rocked!
Schmidt loads up on a big left hand. Towns felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Schmidt looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Towns can't hide his disappointment, as Schmidt celebrates the victory.
