The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amiga steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pope.
Amiga thinks about the counter body kick.
Pope has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rocket's Gentlemen Club in the buildup to the fight.
Pope throws a big shot that misses.
Pope swinging wildly here.
Amiga takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Amiga uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pope.
And Amiga responds with a good body kick, but Pope manages to step out the way in time.
Amiga slips under a jab from Pope.
A telegraphed right hand from Pope misses the target.
Amiga thinks about the counter body kick.
Pope looks to throw the jab but Amiga is out of range.
Pope is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Amiga.
Amiga is trying to counter with his kicks.
Eli Pope seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amiga looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
