Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn McGrady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Darude-Sandstorm. McGrady has chosen Real American as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.
McGrady shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Silva counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for McGrady!
McGrady wants to control but Silva is having none of it.
Silva seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but McGrady is holding on tight.

Silva tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.

Silva is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. McGrady can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

McGrady is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silva's back!
McGrady is trying to stick to Silva's back but Silva is turning into McGrady. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in McGrady's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Silva.
Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but McGrady is retaining full guard.
McGrady is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Silva wants to sweep here but McGrady controlling him for the moment.
Silva wants to stand but McGrady is controlling the position.
McGrady sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silva's guard.

McGrady tries to stand and escape but Silva is controlling the position.
McGrady is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
McGrady might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Silva kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
