Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 2489 p4p, 24626 weight class) and Tsuyoi Empi (ranked 282 p4p, 543 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Drago might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Drago Theme. Tsuyoi Empi has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ivan Drago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tsuyoi Empi!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Drago throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Drago tries to stall but Empi uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
A right hook to the body lands for Empi.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Drago working hard to break the clinch.
Drago wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Empi has Drago pressed against the cage, preventing Drago from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Empi throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Drago managing to block the knees to the body from Empi.
Empi cracks Drago with a nice body shot.
Drago tries to circle away but Empi has him pinned against the cage.
Empi lands an elbow inside that Drago shrugs off.

It looks like Ivan Drago has been cut.

Empi pushes off an throws an elbow but Drago leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Empi tries a knee to the head but Drago blocks it.

Empi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Empi receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
Empi lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Drago or not.

Drago has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Empi has Drago pushed against the cage.
Come on Empi - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Tsuyoi Empi.

Empi drives through and clinches with Drago against the cage.
Empi tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Drago avoids it.
Empi is pushing Drago up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Drago tries to circle away but Empi has him pinned against the cage.
Drago wants to break the clinch but can't.
Empi pushes Drago back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Empi struggles to land a body shot inside as Drago controls his hands.

Empi looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Drago breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tsuyoi Empi dominated that round.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Empi tries to close the distance and clinch but Drago swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Drago misses with a straight left.

Empi has managed to clinch.
Drago working hard to break the clinch.
Empi keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Drago's efforts to push away.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Empi.
Empi has Drago pressed against the cage, preventing Drago from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Empi tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Drago avoids it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Drago breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Drago looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Drago misses with a hook. Empi ducked under it nicely.
Drago throws a nice looking combination but Empi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Empi moves into the clinch successfully.
Drago is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Drago tries to circle away but Empi has him pinned against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Empi just leaning against Drago, taking a breather.
The crowd are getting on Empi's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Empi keeps control of Drago as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Empi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Empi comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Empi has Drago pushed against the cage.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Tsuyoi Empi.
Drago throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Drago swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A jab from Drago does it's job there.

Empi moves into the clinch.
Empi tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Empi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Drago's elbow.
Empi effectively controlling the action here.
The referee calls for Empi to work.
Empi slowing the pace effectively.
A frustrated look appears on Drago's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Tsuyoi Empi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Drago throws the left hand but Empi avoids the punch easily.
Drago throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Empi wants to counter with a clinch but Drago pushes him away.
Drago lands with an uppercut that bounces Empi off the cage and back into range.

Drago sends Empi crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Drago is motioning to the referee to let Empi up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Empi is rocked!
Drago lands an uppercut, right on the button! Empi tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ivan Drago!
