The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwon throws a series of punches but Sanchez moves out of range.
Kwon lands with a shot to the body.
Kwon stuffs the takedown.
Sanchez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kwon pinned against the cage. Kwon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sanchez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Kwon counters by moving into the clinch.
Kwon scores with a nice hook to the head.
Kwon tries to land knees in the clinch but Sanchez avoids the damage to the body.
Sanchez can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawkins Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sanchez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kwon defends well.

Sanchez is breathing heavily.

Kwon is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kwon wants to pass to mount but Sanchez is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kwon has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Sanchez is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kwon yanks on the arm and Sanchez is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kwon.
