Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Parisyen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stefan Andersson!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parisyen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Andersson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Parisyen as he jumps to the side.
It looked like Parisyen was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Andersson.
Parisyen just misses with a punch to the body.
Andersson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Parisyen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Some wild striking there from Andersson.
Andersson shoots in and drives through. Parisyen sprawls well.
Kari Parisyen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefan Andersson.
Parisyen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Andersson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parisyen connects with a body shot.

Andersson closes the distance and pushes Parisyen back into the cage.
Andersson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Parisyen backwards.
Andersson pushes Parisyen back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Parisyen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Andersson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Parisyens head.

Andersson wants the takedown. Parisyen is fighting it off but Andersson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Parisyen's guard against the cage.
Parisyen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Parisyen tries to get out of the position.
Andersson is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Andersson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Andersson passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Andersson slows the pace down.
Andersson is putting a hurting on Parisyen here, landing some big shots from side control.
Parisyen looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Andersson controls the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Andersson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Andersson slows the pace down.
Andersson looks up at the clock and then as Parisyen takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Andersson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Andersson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Andersson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Parisyen has escaped the position, nice work there.
Andersson controls the position.
Andersson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Stefan Andersson dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Andersson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Andersson has managed to clinch.

Andersson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Parisyen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Andersson on the ground.
Parisyen tries to bench press Andersson off him but Andersson keeps the position.
A lull in the action here.
Parisyen is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Andersson controls the position from side control.
Andersson lands some shots froms side control.

Andersson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Let's hope that Andersson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Andersson controls the position.
Parisyen takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Parisyen on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Andersson takes a little break here. Parisyen wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Andersson in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Parisyen is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
