Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gen Tenryu!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tenryu moves into range and connects with a jab.
Wright throws a poor cross that misses
and Tenryu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wright misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tenryu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wright fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wright throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tenryu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wright looks to land a right hand but Tenryu moved out of range.
Wright darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

and Tenryu counters with a crisp right hand that drops Wright! Tenryu lets Wright back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

It looks like Time To Fight Wright has been cut.
Wright will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A shot to the body from Wright misses

and Tenryu counters with a nice right hand that sends Wright toppling to the canvas! Wright scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Tenryu finish him?!
Tenryu throws a jab when Wright was well out of range.

Tenryu clinches up with Wright and pushes him back against the cage.

Wright jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tenryu walks away with a smile on his face. Wright gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Tenryu drops Wright with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Wright looks back up at him and smiles so Tenryu waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Wright is rocked!
Tenryu walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wright throws a series of punches but Tenryu moves out of range.
Tenryu avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wright looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

and Tenryu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Wright throws a lazy right hand but Tenryu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tenryu lands with a good body shot.
Wright misses with a lunging right hand
and Tenryu counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Tenryu throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wrights head.
Tenryu lands a left hand that snaps the head of Wright backwards.
Wright tries to pull guard but Tenryu holds him up against the cage and eventually Wright drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Time To Fight Wright. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tenryu throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Tenryu lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tenryu creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Tenryu digs a right hand underneath Wright's ribcage. Wright let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Tenryu lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Wright backwards.

Oh Wright is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tenryu stalls.
Wright seems to have got his legs back now.
Tenryu pushes Wright back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Tenryu lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Tenryu's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Tenryu gets through Wright's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tenryu is pushing Wright up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Still in the clinch, Tenryu scores with a nice short uppercut.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Wright is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Time To Fight Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wright gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Tenryu gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Wright is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
