Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Ryan (ranked 1032 p4p, 222 weight class) and Hugo Loris (ranked 132 p4p, 31 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Hugo Loris!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loris throws a poor cross that misses

and Ryan counters with a takedown into side control.

Loris slips a nice elbow through Ryan's hands, connecting with Ryan's forehead.
Loris wants to take a breather but Ryan is having none of it.

Ryan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Loris defends it easily.

Loris is pushing down on Ryan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ryan is fighting to maintain full guard but Loris has managed to sneak the leg through.

Loris is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Ryan to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Loris works over Ryan with some ground and pound from guard.

A close round but Hugo Loris will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Loris swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ryan drops down looking for a counter takedown but Loris sprawls and moves away.
Ryan lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Ryan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ryan connects with a looping right hand.
Donk. Loris catches Ryan right on the button with a cross.
Nice uppercut lands for Loris. That snapped Ryan's head back.
Loris fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ryan manages to avoid it.

Loris tries to land a front kick but Ryan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Loris loads up on a big right hand but Ryan slips the punch.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Loris wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ryan keeps working.

Loris misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Hugo Loris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Ryan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Loris quickly recovers to half guard.

Let's hope that Loris has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ryan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Loris is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Loris has escaped and now he's on top!

Well Loris has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
