Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Logan Barrengarry (ranked 548 p4p, 1454 weight class) and Albert Sojka (ranked 76 p4p, 208 weight class). Barrengarry comes to the cage accompanied by The Young Crazed Peeling by The Distillers. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrengarry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sojka manages to avoid it.
Barrengarry throws a hook but Sojka avoids it easily.
Sojka lands a lovely overhand right.
Sojka lands a jab to the nose.
Sojka's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Barrengarry connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sojka scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Albert Sojka has been cut.

Barrengarry has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Barrengarry there as he acknowledges the shot.
Barrengarry has been working on his boxing with his coaches at House of 1000 Corpses in the buildup to the fight.

Barrengarry uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sojka.

Sojka loads up on a big right hand but Barrengarry slips the punch.
Sojka ducks under a wild hook from Barrengarry.
Sojka has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Barrengarry takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Albert Sojka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Barrengarry makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Sojka really felt that one!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barrengarry lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Sojka up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Barrengarry from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Sojka's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
