The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salazar uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
It looks like James Phillips has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Phillips.
Justin Salazar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salazar will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Phillips is defended easily by Salazar.

Phillips wants to clinch.
Salazar feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Phillipss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Salazar pounces like a tiger and cracks Phillips with a vicious hook! Phillips is down but not out! Salazar follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
