Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Surkho Dratchev (ranked 2119 p4p, 2163 weight class) and Grant Harklie (ranked 249 p4p, 254 weight class). Dratchev's entrance music is Schweine by Glukoza Nostra. A fine choice. Harklie has chosen Holycrud as his entrance music. Surkho Dratchev has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Surkho Dratchev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Grant Harklie!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dratchev moves into the clinch.
A short right from Harklie on the inside.
Harklie's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Harklie is working for takedown but Dratchev is calmly controlling the position for now.

Harklie gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dratchev regains guard.

Dratchev manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Dratchev, under a barage of strikes from Harklie.

Dratchev gets caught napping as Harklie dives in and scores a takedown. Dratchev manages to retain guard.

Dratchev has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Harklie is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Let's hope that Harklie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
