Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sara Cuntaga (ranked 6122 p4p, 24326 weight class) and Ozaki Buakaw (ranked 269 p4p, 285 weight class). Ozaki Buakaw will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buakaw circles away from the clinch attempt.

Cuntaga pushes Buakaw up against the cage in a clinch.

Buakaw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Cuntaga darts in and clinches Buakaw up against the cage.

Buakaw manages to break the clinch.
A combination from Cuntaga does no damage.
Cuntaga throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cuntaga slips under a jab from Buakaw.
Cuntaga tries to clinch
letting Buakaw counter with a right hand.

Buakaw closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cuntaga tries to pull guard but Buakaw won't allow it.

Buakaw breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed right hand from Buakaw misses the target.
A slow jab from Cuntaga misses its intended target.
Buakaw is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cuntaga tries a head kick but it misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cuntaga forces Buakaw back against the cage and clinches.
Buakaw blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
A frustrated look appears on Cuntaga's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Cuntaga tries to score a body lock takedown but Buakaw shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Buakaw breaks the clinch.
Buakaw pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Cuntaga back to the cage. Buakaw follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Sara Cuntaga has been cut.
Cuntaga shoots and misses
and Buakaw counters with a big head kick but Cuntaga shrugs it off.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sara Cuntaga. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cuntaga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Buakaw pinned against the cage. Buakaw gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Left hook, right uppercut from Cuntaga.

Buakaw scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Buakaw clinches up with Cuntaga and pushes him back against the cage.

Buakaw's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cuntaga fails to land with a series of punches.
Buakaw connects with a crisp jab.
Cuntaga misses with a takedown
and Buakaw counters with a stiff right hand.
Buakaw bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cuntaga's head.
Cuntaga gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Buakaw counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Cuntaga is rocked!
Cuntaga seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Buakaw shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Cuntaga is backing up but Buakaw catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Cuntaga covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Buakaw Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ozaki Buakaw!
