The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Oliveira or perhaps it was just good defense by Newsome, which made it look bad.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Newsome! But no joy.

Oliveira feints and as Newsome raises his hands in defense, Oliveira changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
