Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abdullah Zaire (ranked 1693 p4p, 2124 weight class) and Rufus Rutger (ranked 275 p4p, 340 weight class). Rutger is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wardance. Rufus Rutger acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Abdullah Zaire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rufus Rutger!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaire uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rutger.

Zaire tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rutger swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Rutger is looking to control Zaire's arms but Zaire gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rutger has his back to the cage.

I was talking to Zaire's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Zaire just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rutger's brow.
Rutger will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Zaire up against the cage.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Rutger cracks Zaire with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Zaire falls to his knees and Rutger doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
