Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ian Beale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Hardcore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ian Beale has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardcore tries to clinch but Beale is having none of it.

Beale feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hardcore is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Beale wants to stand but Hardcore has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Beale thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Beale looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Beale wants to finish this one by submission but Hardcore is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Beale.
Beale will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Beale looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Hardcore is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Hardcore somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
The fight stays on the outside here - Hardcore looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Beale bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hardcore wants to control but Beale postures up.
Hardcore takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Beale is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hardcore knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Beale lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

Beale is working for a rear naked choke. Hardcore is not defending it well and Beale has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Hardcore refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Hardcore's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
