The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gelashvili fails to land the takedown.
Gelashvili shoots in but Bong avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Bong moves into range and clinches up with Gelashvili.
Gelashvili is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bong pulls him back up using the underhooks.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bong can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gelashvili takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Gelashvili's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
