Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shalak Kamir (ranked 3990 p4p, 6482 weight class) and Bjj Spar (ranked 434 p4p, 501 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shalak Kamir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bjj Spar !
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spar slips under a jab from Kamir.
Kamir pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kamir misses with a straight left.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Spar ! But no joy.
A swing and a miss from Kamir.

Spar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We've been told by Kamir's head coaches at Black Swans that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kamir bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kamir lands a jab to the nose.

Spar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kamir is trying to stand back up but Spar is controlling him
Spar frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kamir on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kamir tries to get out of the position.
Kamir sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kamir is trying to get back to full guard.
Spar stops Kamir from getting back to his feet.

Kamir has a hand on Spar 's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Spar takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kamir is working to get back to half guard.
Spar controlling from mount.
Kamir wants to hold on but Spar pushes him away.
Spar wants to take his opponent's back but Kamir doesn't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Spar has hold of Kamir's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kamir manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kamir is trying desperately to improve position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bjj Spar dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Spar walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Kamir scores with a leg kick.
Spar misses with a takedown
enabling Kamir to counter with a crisp jab.
Kamir's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kamir duly obliges.
Kamir lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Spar circles away quickly and effectively.
Donk. Kamir catches Spar right on the button with a cross.
Spar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kamir lands a jab to Spar 's midsection.
Kamir tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spar was well out of range. Poor timing from Kamir.

Spar slips a jab and a cross from Kamir.
Kamir is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Spar can do to turn this around?
Spar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kamir swivels and escapes.
Kamir slaps away a takedown attempt from Spar , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Shalak Kamir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bjj Spar .
Kamir misses with a looping left.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kamir.
Spar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kamir.
Kamir lands a right hook to the body.
Kamir's corner calls for a 1-2. Kamir obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Kamir throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Spar sees it coming and avoids it easily.
It seemed like Spar was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Spar moves out of range of the leg kick from Kamir.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Spar ! But no joy.
Kamir misses with an uppercut. Spar saw that one coming.
Kamir just misses with a punch to the body.
Kamir swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Spar fails with a takedown attempt.
Kamir buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Horrible takedown attempt by Spar or perhaps it was just good defense by Kamir, which made it look bad.
Shalak Kamir is winning the standup battle so far.

Kamir misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Spar looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Shalak Kamir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kamir misses with a body shot.
Spar swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Kamir scores with a nice right hand.
Kamir staying out of range there.
Kamir lands a high kick!
A jab from Kamir misses.
Kamir paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A head kick misses from Kamir.
Spar throws out a counter right but Kamir avoids it with no problem.
Kamir tries to bum rush Spar with a series of wild strikes but Spar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kamir misses with a low kick.
Spar looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Kamir connects with a high kick.
Spar shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kamir defends it nicely.
Spar tries for a takedown but Kamir sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And Kamir counters with a quick kick to the body but Spar blocks it.
Spar avoids the body shot from Kamir.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kamir connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Spar gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kamir counters with a stiff right hand.
Kamir lands a nice looking body shot.
Kamir is looking to slow Spar down with leg kicks.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Shalak Kamir dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Spar tries to clinch but Kamir moves out of range.
Spar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kamir.

Kamir lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Kamir catches Spar with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The fighters circling - Kamir throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kamir lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Spar circles away quickly and effectively.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kamir missing with a left hand there. Spar was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kamir finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Kamir will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Spar walks into a stiff left hand from Kamir.
Kamir thumps Spar with a low kick.
Spar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kamir.
Kamir tries to bum rush Spar with a series of wild strikes but Spar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kamir misses with a series of wild punches.
Kamir looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Shalak Kamir is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Spar takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kamir throws a right hand that Spar ducks under and follows up with a left that Spar also avoids with ease.
Spar gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Kamir fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Spar checks it well.
Spar swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Kamir throws a jab when Spar was well out of range.
Kamir lands an overhand right.

Spar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kamir manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Spar controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Spar 's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kamir is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kamir being controlled here, momentarily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kamir is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kamir throws a head kick that Spar semi-blocks.
Kamir throws a quick inside leg kick.
Kamir leaves Spar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Shalak Kamir showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Kamir has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
