Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jovin Koch (ranked 4430 p4p, 3943 weight class) and Connor McDavid (ranked 450 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koch fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Koch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

McDavid has Koch up against the cage in a clinch.
Koch wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Koch tries for a takedown but McDavid manages to get underhooks.
Koch lands a nice uppercut.
Koch can't break the clinch.
McDavid drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Koch gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Koch is trying to drag McDavid to the mat but McDavid just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

McDavid tries to close the distance and clinch up but Koch swats him away and circles back towards the center.

McDavid has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Koch is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McDavid defends well.

McDavid really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Koch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Connor McDavid is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Koch tries to buck McDavid off but McDavid is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Koch seems a little lost for a moment, as McDavid dominates the positioning.
Koch manages to get back to half guard.
McDavid takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Koch closes the distance and clinches up with McDavid, looking for a takedown. Koch pushes McDavid against the cage but McDavid circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Koch drops his hands momentarily and McDavid takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Well McDavid has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
