Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mamoud Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keke Ikonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jenkins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Roots Bloody Roots- Sepultura. Ikonen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Clint Mansell - Requiem for a Dream Remix kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mamoud Jenkins has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jenkins closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Jenkins is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ikonen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ikonen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jenkins is in trouble now - Ikonen has advanced to mount!
Jenkins is looking to improve his position but Ikonen isn't that keen on the idea.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mamoud Jenkins dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jenkins tries to keep at a distance but Ikonen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jenkins tries to pull guard but Ikonen holds him up against the cage and eventually Jenkins drops back down to his feet.
Jenkins tries to stall but Ikonen uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Jenkins pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Ikonen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jenkins is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
