Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Tython (ranked 2938 p4p, 4379 weight class) and Back Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tython sizes up Man with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Tython moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Back Man has been cut.
Tython lands a head shot.

Man clinches.
Tython is trying to break the clinch but Man has him pressed against the cage.

Man breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tython, as that shot connected.

Man shoots in for a takedown but Tython shows good takedown defense.

A jab from Tython finds it's way through Man's defenses.

Man shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tython's guard.

Tython feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tython has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Man has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Tython has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Tython lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
